Kevin Smith has over twenty five years’ experience as a gynaecologist. He qualified as a doctor at St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical School in London.
Kevin interrupted his medical training to study Human Physiology at the University of London, where he attained a First-Class Bachelor of Science degree with Honours, finishing top of his year. He then worked in various medical specialties, gaining a Diploma in Geriatric Medicine, before deciding on a career in Gynaecology. He undertook specialist training in this field in Oxford.
He completed a Clinical Fellowship in Female Continence and Pelvic Floor Reconstructive Surgery at Toronto University, Canada. Since then, he has been working as a consultant gynaecologist in Reading since 2001.
In his spare time, he plays the guitar, at which his enthusiasm far exceeds his ability.

General gynaecology (including period and bleeding problems, pelvic pain, vaginal and vulval conditions) with a special interest in the pelvic floor conditions (prolapse and urinary incontinence).
